Meet
Dr. Rachel
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC, ANCC)
I believe that the therapeutic
journey is a collaborative endeavor.
Drawing upon my extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and clinical experience, I have developed a specialized interest in addressing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, ADHD, feeding and eating disorders, substance use, and sexual dysfunction.
My aim is to provide consistent and compassionate support as we journey together towards your optimal mental health. My commitment is to empower you on your path to wellness by using a blend of psychiatric expertise and empathy to make a positive impact in your life.
Education
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in psychiatry and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Columbia University, where I gained distinction as an Anna C. Maxwell honors program recipient and was recognized as a Seamless Scholar. Additionally, my dedication and determination to truly understand and excel within my field led to my induction into the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau honors society. My academic journey started at Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human and Organizational Development and Psychology, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
I also completed the Neuroscience Education Institute’s Master Psychopharmacology Program and was recognized with distinction. I have presented at conferences on social media’s impact on eating behavior and body image in adolescents and young adults, which is a topic I’m passionate about.
